Legacy is a song I wrote somewhere around 2009. I was talking with my mother and we were going through some old family photos and came across one of my dad, who had passed away in 1985. Mom and dad had been married for 47 years at the time of his death and I always tell people you couldn’t have known either of them for more than ten minutes without realizing they were completely in love with one another. When he passed she was devastated, but somehow had managed to keep on keeping on for so many more years. We were talking about old times and I asked her how she had managed to get by without him. She looked at me and said it was like being an amputee, part of you is gone but you can still feel it. That thought struck a chord with me and I went home and put it to music in this song about a life long love that is now in the past. I hope you enjoy it.
