What’s On Your Mind

I wrote this song about 20 years ago. My wife Joan and I were fighting about something and she was mad at me. Joan has this thing where she gets absolutely silent when she’s really angry. She won’t answer any questions. She won’t say what’s wrong. She simply becomes mute and I’m left to figure things out on my own. I’ll tell you right now that almost never works out well for me. So, anyway, she was angry and she’d gone mute and I had no idea what was wrong (as usual) so I sat down with my guitar and wrote this song.
